Many students are struggling in the classroom with the concentration, and it just might have to do with the teaching styles conflicting with learning styles. In my classroom, I used testing and creative practices to help a child that was struggling with attention and memory. One thing all educators know, if you want to get through and help a child, we must be creative and figure out their learning styles.

Bat 6 is about a group of sixth-grade girls from Barlow and Bear Creek Ridge that loves to play softball. The main character of the story is Brita Maria. She played second base. The story took place shortly after the World War II. During this time, there was racial bigotry not only against the Blacks, but also with the Japanese American citizens.

Due to the fact that many children come from rough neighborhoods filled with violence and self-destruction, it is imperative that we teach good character and virtues in the classroom. Such examples include empathy, moral reasoning, and self-control, responsibility to us and to others. We must not waiver since the teacher cannot do it alone.

With the rising increase in teen violence, much research has been directed to determine if video games, violent television shows and other electronic media is directly related. Gentile, D.A. & Anderson C.A (2003) has done extensive research in which supports the theory that video games lead to violence.
