Bat 6 is about a group of sixth-grade girls from Barlow and Bear Creek Ridge that loves to play softball. The main character of the story is Brita Maria. She played second base. The story took place shortly after the World War II. During this time, there was racial bigotry not only against the Blacks, but also with the Japanese American citizens.
Due to the fact that many children come from rough neighborhoods filled with violence and self-destruction, it is imperative that we teach good character and virtues in the classroom. Such examples include empathy, moral reasoning, and self-control, responsibility to us and to others. We must not waiver since the teacher cannot do it alone.
The purpose of this paper is to provide the audience with a written document containing practical teaching notes for use when teaching a lesson to students with emotional behavioral disorders (EBD).
